This booklet is designed to give an indication of what can be seen in Germany today and is intended to show the variety of locomotives and units that can be seen in operation. It is based on two trips, the first covering Frankfurt, Wurzburg and Fulda, and the second Bremen, Bremerhaven, Hamburg, and the Rhine-Ruhr. It gives a snapshot of the current scene and includes passenger and freight services operated by Deutsche Bahn and the numerous operators providing services in Germany during 2023.
